About
This site tracks the energy generated by five solar panels on a south-facing roof in Holm, Orkney.
The panels are connected to a Solis-mini-1500-4G inverter, which has a 1700 W rated AC output.
The data is taken from the Solis Cloud API, and is archived in JSON format at https://github.com/dgplacenames/solar/tree/main/archive.
The columns on the daily charts are snapshots in time at ~five minute intervals. The API can't be used to calculate the cumulative energy generated at five minute intervals, as the running total for the day is rounded to 0.1 kWh. The snapshot readings, however, are measured in individual Watts.
Updates are posted at 6am each day here and on Mastodon and Bluesky.
